A year in review

December is a very busy month for us.  With the holidays, the staffs got a chance to take some time off to enjoy the real world … we might be computer geeks but our computers are not our only friends, although it might seems that way most of the time. As stated in the last post, from now on, our english-speaking-only audience will have a new place to call home. Say hello to OnlinePhim.net’s little sister, OnlineDrama.net. Easy to remember isn’t it? Just to be sure, you should bookmark it now. The first step toward separation is now completed.

We are also celebrating our first aniversary this week. Yay. It had only been a year, but to many of us it seems so much longer. From the graph below, you can see that our site has been steadily growing. The majority of that growth is from the words of mouth because unlike other sites, we don’t spam to get noticed. Thanks for the PR , guys. Currently we are the top of Google for keywords such as … phim online, phim bo, phim viet nam, xem phim online …etc. Cool, eh?

Site Restructuring In Progress

After much discussions, we’ve decided that our site is in need of reorganization. OnlinePhim.net was originally designed to be a bilingual site so that it will be accessible for many people. So, we decide that it’s time to separate the siamese twins (figuratively speaking, of course). What this means is that OnlinePhim.net will become uni-lingual. It will become predominantly Vietnamese site. We’ll try our best to translate those technical terms so that everyone can understand. I don’t know about you, but the Vietnamese literal translations of those words (translated by people in VN) tend to give me a big headache when I try to decypher them. We hope that this will help our Vietnamese viewers from France, Germany, Sweden, (and many others) since they don’t really use english.
