The leap of faith …
Alright, for the last 4 days I’ve looking through tons of hosts to compare different server specs and prices that I’m about to go blind. Seriously. I swear, it’s easier to buy a server myself and set it up at home. The only thing that stopped me from doing that is the fact that I don’t have fast enough connection yet (thanks a lots Verizon, you’re taking your sweet time bringing fiber optic to my neighborhood). I will definitely do it later on, probably as a backup server at first and if it’s good enough, we might switch over later on.
Anyway … I got tired of looking … so I finally picked one. It won’t be ready for 48-72 hours. And then it probably take a few days for me to completely configure it before it’s ready to go live. With any luck, we should be up by next weekend.
Thanks again to all our donators. Although we still haven’t get much in term on volunteers, we have enough financial need to move on. However, the continuation of the site will depend on your on going supports. Volunteer your time if you have time, or help us out financially … better yet, do both. 
Update 4/29/2007:
The server is now ready for configurations. It’s basically just an empty box now. There is much to do. In order for minimal interruptions and downtime, I’ll have to make sure everything is ready before I switch the site over.

I know I am a bit late, but have you tried http://www.ace-host.net/ ? They have the best customer service ever and at a very cheap prioe!

if you look the dedicated server section, which is what we want, they are about the same as any other host … yes, customer service is one of the most important thing to look for … we’ll keep the name in mind if we need another server down the road … thanks for the info
as the moment, we already got a new server … setting everything up is such a pain since there are so much to do
